The Eagle has Landed

I don't know why my daddy wanted me to call this post such a funny name - I don't even know what an eagle is or why it relates to me.
Here I am, though, safe and snug at home. There was all this white stuff falling on me when we came out of the hospital, but I was wrapped up in so much stuff that I barely noticed. Good job we weren't in other places where it was much worse. I think I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew here I was on the sofa with mummy.
Before I left the hospital, I had my first bath and I hated it. I screamed and screamed when they put me in the water, but then afterwards I felt this really nice sensation of not having sticky stuff in my hair any more, so maybe it wasn't so bad after all and I calmed down pretty quickly. Before I went in the bath daddy changed my nappy and even managed to stop me from putting my feet in the messy stuff.
They dressed me up in new clothes to go home and they were quite smart. I think they might have been made for a girl, but hey if I'm Red Fred nobody's going to mess, are they?
Mummy went off for a sleep when I got in and daddy went to the kitchen so I stayed with Mumbee, but I soon heard these funny noises so we went to have a look. Daddy was making a big stew for all the family (except me - I have to keep trying to suck my food out of mummy, but it's not easy). He said he'll teach me to cook when I'm older and I can't wait to plate up some delicious dishes.
Granny and Grandpa came round to eat and cuddled me after they'd finished eating. Grandpa said he'd missed a football match on Saturday because of me - must be this one. I had to lie in my basket and was quiet until daddy finished, but then I just wanted to join the party.
Last night I slept with mummy all night, but I think tonight she'll have daddy in bed, too. Where will I sleep?
